Giovanna Santagati, a retired teacher, fixed her residence in Piedmont after having lived her childhood in Campania and her youth, until completing her studies, in Tuscany.
He has spent his working life enriching it with transitions between different school orders and genres, among which he loves to count the wonderful experience of the schools once called special, which, in his opinion, play the main role in his personal and professional training.
In 1982 he obtained the masters degree in Foreign Languages and Literature with honors at the University of Florence and in 2012 he obtained the degree in Afro-American Musical Traditions with honors at the Istituto Musicale Superiore "Ghedini" in Cuneo.
The propensity for writing, stimulated by the artistic-literary proposals that her mother offered her since she was a child, and an almost constant production tacitly accompany the whole course of her life up to today.
In 2015 she decides to start publishing with the poetic collection Le Screams Inside - Words in Freedom for Aletti Editrice, a work that she self-publishes in 2019 with the subtitle Blues in the feminine by inserting it in the personal series she created, LetterArte-giosa, which will accompany all her subsequent literary productions: the poetic collections Passi-Percorsi di vita and I was born on an island-Places of the soul between poetry and photography, the novels A flight of two hours-Journey inside an extraordinary story…ordinary and The sentence of the pendant, the essay A crown for a queen- Ida Cox: Blues for women.
In recent years the author has also made room for photography which she loves to include in her literary creations, when she does not make use of the collaboration of other artists.
